Distinguished individuals receive the badge of the Household in its highest form, the “livery collar”. The badge of the Household was granted by His Majesty’s Charles III of the United Kingdom’s College of Arms by Letters Patent of Garter, Clarenceux and Norroy and Ulster Kings of Arms dated 12 April 2024. The badge is described as “Within a Circlet of Chain Or a stack of three Books Azure leaved garnished and perched thereon a Little Owl Or”. The highest form of the livery badge is the “livery collar” and it signifies inclusion of the individual as part of the household.
